Separate Worlds, separate economies

PC, PS5 and Xbox run independent World pools. That means separate Exchange markets and separate Deep Desert rotations per platform — prices you see on PC are not console prices. The single exception: Xbox Series X|S and the Windows PC (Microsoft Store) version share progression and Worlds.

What console players miss (and why guides lie)

Most Dune: Awakening coverage is PC-focused. Three things are genuinely PC-only, which is why console players should not copy PC guides blindly:

• Mods & console commands — PC-only; verify any ‘console command’ advice is actually about the developer console, not your platform.
• Free self-hosting — the free dedicated-server route (Windows + Hyper-V + Alpine + Kubernetes) is PC-only.
• Private console servers — on PS5/Xbox the only way to run a private server is renting via Nitrado.

Performance differences

Community-reported console issues (see the performance and troubleshooting guides) include UI sluggishness on PS5 and texture hitches on Xbox Series X. These are tracked here as they change with patches — treat ‘PC settings’ advice with caution on console, where in-game graphics options are more limited.
