The three things that actually matter

World choice is sticky in Dune: Awakening because your economy footprint lives inside it. Rank these before you commit:

    1. Friends & guild — playing together is the whole point; match where your group is.
    1. Language & ping — each World has a preferred language tag in the server browser.
    1. Population — a dead World means empty trading posts; a full one means crowded Deep Desert hotspots. Both are playable, but the experience differs.
FactorWhy it ranks
Friends and guildShared play; match your group’s World
Language and pingEach World has a language tag; ping affects the online game
PopulationEmpty Worlds have thin markets; full Worlds have contested hotspots

The economic catch

The Exchange is World-wide trading — players across the World’s Sietches share one trading post per market. Your Solari prices, listings and Deep Desert rotation are all World-specific. If you later switch Worlds, you start a separate economy footprint (your old listings live in the old World).

Console-specific notes

On console you cannot self-host a free server (that is PC-only) — for private console servers you rent via Nitrado. Public official Worlds are the default for everyone. Also remember the Xbox ↔ Windows PC store exception: those two share progression, so a World chosen on Xbox carries over to the Windows PC store version.

Frequently asked questions

Does my World affect item prices?

Yes. Exchange trading is pooled per World (all Sietches in a World share the market), so supply, demand and prices differ from World to World.

Can I switch Worlds later?

You can create characters on other Worlds, but your economy footprint (Exchange listings) lives in the World where you made them. Treat the first World choice as your main economy.
