Dune: Awakening Schematics Guide (Costs)

Schematics drive Dune: Awakening's endgame economy: every tier is tradeable, uniques included, and top tiers reportedly sell for tens of thousands of Solari.

Case Answer Verified Solution

Schematics are crafting blueprints — they let you build and upgrade equipment and structures. They are the main long-term progression sink in Dune: Awakening, and they sit at the center of the player economy because all tiers are tradeable, including unique schematics.

What Schematics are

Schematics are crafting blueprints — they let you build and upgrade equipment and structures. They are the main long-term progression sink in Dune: Awakening, and they sit at the center of the player economy because all tiers are tradeable, including unique schematics.

The tradeability is the important part. In most survival games, the best blueprints are bound to the account that found them, and the economy runs on raw materials. Here, a schematic you cannot use still has a buyer. That turns every duplicate or off-build find into either a future upgrade or Solari.

What the official mechanics actually say

Only a few schematic facts are officially documented, and they are worth separating from community chatter.

AspectOfficial position
TradeabilityAll tiers are tradeable on the Exchange, including unique schematics
Where you list oneA terminal at Arrakeen or Harko Village
Condition to listYou must be at the terminal, in person, with the item in your inventory
Market typeListing market; no NPC buyers
Fee structure20 Solari per day per listing, plus 2% on day 1 and 1% on each later day
Offer cap20 offers per player

Note what is not on that list: drop locations, drop rates, crafting recipes, and which progression step unlocks which tier. Funcom does not publish those, and this site does not invent them. If a page tells you a schematic drops from a specific named source with a specific chance, ask where that number came from.

Why the market cares

Tradeability plus scarcity is the whole story. Supply comes only from gameplay — there is no vendor, and no player can print schematics — while demand runs across every player working on the same progression path.

That makes schematics one of the few items where price and fee structure interact in an interesting way. The price fee is proportional, so an expensive schematic pays proportionally more per day it sits on the board, while the occupation fee stays flat. For a high-value listing, the percentage dominates your cost, which is why a fast sale at a fair price usually beats holding out. For a low-value one, the flat daily fee is what erodes your margin.

Trading Schematics safely

Use the Exchange. Terminals sit at Arrakeen and Harko Village, listings are player-driven, and you must be present with the item in your inventory to place one. Fees and the offer cap are covered in full on the Auction House guide.

Two habits protect your payout. First, clear the My Orders tab before a selling session: the 20-offer cap counts completed and cancelled offers, and unclaimed completed sales expire after 30 days, so income you forget to collect can be lost. Second, avoid cash-for-items deals. RMT violates Funcom’s rules of conduct and carries ban risk — there is no safe version of it.

Selling a schematic is also a trip, not a click. Travel to Arrakeen or Harko Village costs Solari, or you fly your own ornithopter. Batch several sales into one journey instead of making a special trip per item.

Buying instead of farming

Buying is the reasonable path when the schematic you want sits outside your build or your play schedule. Since every tier is listable, the board can cover gaps that farming would take a long time to fill.

The catch is that you are buying from other players on your own World, and prices are World-specific. There is no cross-World shopping and no reference price to check against. Read the board at the terminal, compare a few listings, and treat what you see there as the market — not a number remembered from another World or another week.

What we don’t know

Community price reports for top-tier schematics exist, but they are single-source and we cannot verify them against any official figure. We mention that they exist rather than quoting them as a market rate, because there is no official price data behind them.

There is also no price history feature in the game, and no legitimate live feed is possible: Funcom ships no market API, and the rules of conduct prohibit scraping the game or modifying its traffic. Adding to that, Dune: Awakening has no official wiki — this site is an independent fan project drawing on official store pages, official announcements, and the Funcom help center. Drop rates and unlock steps stay unlisted here until a credible source makes them checkable.

For where currency comes from, read What is Solari. The Market hub holds the listing-fee calculator, and the Deep Desert page tracks the weekly rotation that supplies endgame materials.

How to read this page: the tradeability of every tier, the terminal requirement and the fee structure come from the official Funcom help center. Everything about buying and selling strategy below that line is our reasoning for an independent fan site, not an official Funcom statement.

Frequently asked questions

Are Schematics tradeable in Dune: Awakening?

Yes — all schematic tiers are tradeable on the Exchange, including unique schematics.

How much do top Schematics cost?

Community reports put top-tier schematics in the tens of thousands of Solari. This is single-source information being verified in game; the game publishes no price history and no live feed can be built within the rules, so treat it as an observation rather than a market rate.
